Our Kittens

Our Kittens

Our kittens are bred to meet T.I.C.A. standards for the Oriental breeds, although many of them spend their lives in pet homes rather than show halls. Purrsonality is an important factor in our breeding program, as is health. Darlington Cattery is negative for F.I.P. FeLV and for the feline Aids virus. Kittens are vet checked at 8-10 weeks of age and are fully vaccinated and healthy when they go to their new homes at 12-14 weeks old. Our vet is a feline specialist with a successful feline only veterinary clinic. He has much experience with cattery management and disease prevention and has worked closely with us to assure the health of each and every Darlington kitten. We are grateful for his vast knowledge and expertise.

Because we do so few breedings each year, kitten availability is limited. If you are interested in one of our kittens, feel free to contact me to discuss your desires and expectations. We are very selective in the homes that our kittens go to and require that all potential buyers complete a simple questionnaire to ensure that the oriental breeds are right for you. These are high maintenance cats that require a lot of one on one attention to be happy.  When provided with a loving and stimulating environment, they make wonderful companion animals. We like to make certain that every kitten that leaves our home will be welcomed and cherished in it’s new home for the rest of it’s life.

After you have completed the questionnaire and are certain that your lifestyle can accommodate an Oriental cat, your name will be placed on our waiting list for a kitten. We make every effort to take gender, color and pattern preferences into account when offering kittens to approved homes, but cannot guarantee when a kitten of the desired color, pattern and gender will become available. We specialize in tabby Orientals and lynx pointed Siamese/ Balinese in chocolate, lavender and cinnamon colors, but our breeding cats do carry the genes for a wide range of other colors. We also get occasional solid colored Orientals and standard, non- lynx pointed Siamese.
